CM108 → Baofeng Adapter

What is it?

A Printed Circuit Board for an interface circuit which allows you to connect a modified CM108 USB Sound Dongle to a Baofeng UV-5R handheld transceiver (HT).

Why did I make it?

There are many affordable handheld transceivers on the market — covering the 2-metre and 70-centimetre (VHF & UHF) amateur radio bands — for as little as £15. They can be connected to a PC or Raspberry Pi to create an inexpensive interface with the internet, allowing a cheap HT to communicate globally.

I hold a full Amateur Radio Licence (M0PHB) and naturally enjoy experimenting with the hobby.

What makes it special?

It is a very simple and useable design.
